English Language Arts curriculum by Sunshine and Jellybeans provides comprehensive study and practice worksheets for Grades 1 through 6; teachers will find resources covering all of the required grammar topics for those grades, including parts of speech (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, articles, conjunctions, prepositions, appositives, and more), sentences (simple, complete, fragments, run-ons) and sentence structure, worksheets on how to use frequently confused words such as “who” and “whom”, and “more” and “most”, homonyms, or sound-alike words, and words that rhyme. Worksheets are designed for each grade level, with simple or complex sentences appropriate for each age group, and subject matter chosen to interest students at each grade level. Many of the resources can be scaffolded for use with students at different levels.

Reading Comprehension and Reading for Information resources are available for Grades 3, 4 and 5, with topics such as Famous Landmarks and Birds of the World, and the classic childrens’ book The Secret Garden. Task Cards are available for many topics and are perfect for use in language centers.

The popular and highly rated U.S. States and Capitals resources include maps, worksheets, puzzles, games (such as the popular I have…Who has), flash cards and assessments. Teachers will also find puzzles and research activities for each of the 50 states.

Sunshine and Jellybeans offers several math resources for early learners, including counting, addition and subtraction worksheets and activities, as well as an original fractions curriculum designed to take students step-by-step from understanding the concept of a fraction through addition and subtraction of fractions and mixed numbers. This is a scaffolded curriculum that works well for students who find math challenging. The practice worksheets are also available separately, for supplemental use with other curriculum.
