These social studies-themed Montessori-style three-part nomenclature cards are perfect for introducing 12 landmarks and symbols of the United States of America for visual and tactile learners. Each card features vibrant color graphics making it engaging and fun for kids. This is a great resource for a unit study, a specials/history center, creative play or sensory bin, and more.

These cards are self-correcting! Match the Object and Label cards to the Control Cards to check for accuracy.

SUGGESTIONS FOR USE:

Use the cards in a variety of ways with your lessons and games.

Print two (2) copies to use as follows:

  • Leave one copy of the card whole with the photograph and name label as the Control Card.
  • Cut a second copy of the card to separate the photograph (Object Card) from the name (Label Card.)
  • This activity is self-correcting! Match the Object Card with the Label Card and check for accuracy with the Control Card!

ACTIVITY IDEAS:

  • Match the Images (2 object cards, no labels)
  • Match the Image and an Object (object cards + plastic or wooden animal)
  • Match the Control Card to the Label Card (placing the label over the name on the control card)
  • Match the Object Card to the Label Card (check with the Control Cards)
  • Play Memory!
  • Use the Object Cards to tell a story about the locations!
