UPDATED FOR 2024! This New Years bulletin board is perfect for January and the upcoming year. A New Year activity (flipbook) is included where students reflect on the past year and make goals and resolutions for the upcoming year. Everything you need is included. Just print the pieces on paper, cut them out, and then attach them to your bulletin board (or door).
My photo of the final product shows what the bulletin board looked like in 2019, however, it has been updated. As of November 28th 2023, it has been updated for the year 2024. (The bulletin board pieces, glasses, and flipbooks have all been updated so that you can use them for the year 2024. Click the preview to see the updates.

***My bulletin board is 48" X 36". Your bulletin board needs to be at least that big for this kit to work.***
When the bulletin board is all done, it states, "Looking forward to a NEW YEAR!" (You can choose from black letters or white-fill letters.) Or you can choose from 2 other phrases including: "Happy New Year!" or "Hello, 2024." To make the bulletin board more meaningful, I have included a New Year flipbook as well as some 2023 glasses that the students fill out. These glasses can be hung on the bulletin board to make them more EYE-catching. (See what I did there? haha)
NEW YEAR FLIPBOOK
The flipbook has 5 tabs.
-The first page is the cover. Students write their name and then draw a picture of themselves in the new year (there are 6 different choices)
-On the second page, students reflect on the past year and write about their all-time favorite memory.
-On the third page, students write some things that they hope will accomplish in the new year.
-On the fourth page, students decide on a "One-Word Goal."
-On the fifth page, students give themselves advice.

2024 GLASSES
After students have filled in their flipbook, they use their responses to fill in a pair of glasses. These glasses are then attached to the bulletin board. When people walk by your bulletin board, they can quickly see what your students are hoping for the next year.
