What educators are saying

My students used this resource to write their own non fiction story about turkeys. They gathered information for several resources and then used this resource to make their turkey booklets. Very fun and engaging!
This made teaching informational writing so much easier to teach and easy for my students to learn! It was super cute and I have their writing displayed around the classroom for November.

I've included a lot of pages so that you have plenty of options on what you would like to use with your students. There are 6 cover page options. Half have a turkey on them and the other half are blank so that students can draw their own turkey. I've included 10 optional graphic organizers to help students organize their information. There are also 3 sentence starter posters for Starting Sentences, Transition Sentences, and Ending Sentence.

Once students are ready to report:

There are two types of report pages (primary lined and regular lined.) Within these types, I've also differed the headings for each page. Half are written with a title (example: Turkey Habitat) the other half are written with a guiding question (example: Where do turkeys live?) Mix and Match which ever you'd like your students to do!

Topics to report on:

Characteristics

There are also extra report pages for students to write about the turkey they are reporting on, and draw a turkey diagram. I've also incldued two extra writing pieces "All About Turkeys" and "Hide Turkey!"
