Science Unit about Turkeys

This mini-unit includes 3 inquiry-based lessons where students are constructing their own knowledge. It is aimed at our youngest learners, but involves critical thinking skills.

Day 1: Two kinds of turkeys? Students classify wild and domestic turkeys
Day 2: Turkey facts: Students learn about what they eat and label a turkey
Day 3: What I learned: Students complete a chart and craft to tie up this mini-unit!

Each lesson has a slideshow PACKED with questions to encourage students to think about these animals. The slideshows come in PowerPoint and Smart Board so you can choose what works for you!

There are also printables and crafts (with photo directions) included!
