Description

If you are looking for a way to bring reading into the content areas (or science and social studies into reading), Trinity: A Graphic History of the First Atomic Bomb by Jonathan Fetter-Vorm is an excellent way to go. This book provides a scientific, historic and critical perspective of the building of the first atomic bomb in graphic form. I teach high school learning support reading, and I used each of these guides with my students. The guides were a little bit challenging, so I would actually recommend using them with the general education population as well. When you purchase this product, you will receive about 60 pages of open-ended questions that take readers page-by-page throughout the book. Though some of the questions are literal, most require students to use text and graphics from Trinity to think critically, make inferences and draw conclusions. Over 300 questions are broken down into about 14 separate editable reading guides.
