Brief Notes on Triangle Angle Sum Quick Notes
My notes utilizes scaffolding instruction for student learning to slowly loosen the reins into students' hands. The notes cover the Triangle Angle Sum Theorem. covers a variety of examples but is not all encompassing of what they may experience. I highly encourage students to challenge themselves to figure out the remaining types of problems based on Triangle Angle Sum. The lesson does also cover exterior angle Sum Theorem as they often go together in textbooks and worksheets. My advice is to jot down abbreviations for the reasoning behind each step in solving the problems. This may be a good way to connect these to proof problems.
I teach students with brief notes that allot more time in class for students to practice material. I give an assignment on the material so students can use the majority of class time experiencing and mastering problems on their own. I aim for 10-20 minutes of notes and the rest of the class on the assignment. This lesson tends to take longer due to the difficulty of the material. I provide time for entrance and exit tickets additional to the lesson and notes.
My students are behind in math skills and have time and time again flunked out of previous math classes or have been expelled. I aim to use short concise notes to get students back on track and build up their math skills.
I often use Kuta worksheets or others for students to practice skills taught in this lesson.
