What educators are saying

My students were struggling with these transitions and how/when to use them. This resource provided the help they needed.

Description

Transition Words and Phrases Lists, Task Cards, and Sorting Activities. Transitional words and transitional phrases are useful in writing clear and fluent paragraphs, but students need to be familiar with when to use them. Includes a Word Splash of Transition Words with a graphic organizer for word sorting, several different handouts with lists of useful transition words, and a categorizing worksheet for groups to work on and discuss, and a set of 36 task cards.

Digital and Print: I have also made an Easel Activity ready to go with digital pen, highlighter, and text boxes for students to type their answers. It is an Interactive layer over the original pdf. You can then assign it via Google Classroom or share a link in any LMS. Click here to learn more if you want to understand how Easel Activities work. You can even add your own directions or notes! This is helpful for distance learning. 35 total pages including the ready-made digital pages. Access on the product page or in My Purchases after purchase.

Some words may be classified in different categories, so this can lead to interesting discussions and students will have to employ higher level thinking skills. 36 transition words task cards with answer sheet and key included. The lists will become a handy reference tool for use when writing. Great for homework, homeschool, distance learning, and independent study. Please see full preview.
Your students will enjoy learning about transition words and when they start using them, you will see an improvement in their writing.
