Graphic organizer specifically made for students who struggle in English class.
This is perfect for struggling students to practice close reading and finding specific evidence from the text to support their answer. Many struggling readers are overwhelmed when given the task of searching through an entire text in order to find a specific quote. This chunks the work for students while still giving them the opportunity to practice their skills.
Aligns with CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.1since students must defend their answer by explaining why the quote they chose is the best.
Aligns with CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.2 since students are looking at how different elements of the story come together to create the tragic hero.
