This activity kept students very engaged and allowed them to more clearly understand the concept of contour layers by creating them on their own and seeing a 3D model. Great activity that we accomplished in one 50 minute class period.
Description
Here is a fun and visually AWESOME lab to make kids understand how you can can make a 3D object (like a mountain) into a 2D picture (like a map). This lab was fun to do in the classroom and was a really good visual so the students understood how topography works, and why it is useful!
