Description

These year-long memory book and timeline activities are a fun way to highlight exciting events, field trips, celebrations, and accomplishments that happened in your classroom this year. Have students complete a writing (and interactive writing) session at the end of each month or recap the year all at once at the end of the year. Each student can make their own book to take home or have your students work together to create a class timeline of the year. There are so many ways to use this product!

This activity is great for:

• Addressing social studies and writing standards

• Showing writing progression throughout the year (if you do it month by month)

• Remembering special memories during the school year

Class Timeline Ideas:

1. Assign small groups of students to each month and have draw and write about their favorite school memories from that month

3. After all the months are complete, tape them up on your wall to make a timeline.

4. Add photos to make it special and keep it up for Open House!

OR

1. Every month, co-create a class memory through interactive writing on your Promethean Board

2. Print the Flipcharts and create a class timeline of the year on the wall

3. Add photos to make it special and keep up for Open House!

Ways to use the Memory Book

1. Every month or at the end of the year, kids write their own memory from that month in their student book

2. At the end of the year, students have a memory book from that year!

3. Set it out at end of the year celebrations or Open House!

❤ Parents love this.
