Such a fun, easy to use activity!! My students loved and hated their picked from a hat careers with their weekly income. Some had to erase their selections in order to have enough money to pay their bills. Great life lesson!
The students asked to do this activity again the very next day. They loved seeing how each person with a different job had to make choices to fit their budget. It helped them realize how much work goes into being a responsible adult and managing finances.

A fun budgeting activity where students get to ‘choose their own life' based on their weekly income and expenses.Teach your students the importance of budgeting and saving while planning for everyday expenses and occasional luxuries.
This activity is designed to teach budgeting and money management with students in middle primary. It can be used as a maths lesson or during humanities when covering economics. It is also a handy tool to begin discussions about poverty and inequalities in modern society.
