    This Summer Review packet is full of activities to keep important third grade skills fresh in students’ minds during the long summer break. The printable activities are meant to be fun and interactive for students as they prepare for the beginning of fourth grade. This review packet contains math, literacy, writing, social studies, and science activities.

    • Addition Secret Message-Figure out the answer to a joke by solving addition with regrouping problems.
    • Subtraction Find and Cover-After solving subtraction with regrouping problems, students find the answers and cover them.
    • Master Your Facts Multiplication-Three 1 minute multiplication fluency tests with 20 problems. Students can check their answers on the answer key when they finish.
    • Master Your Facts Division-Three 1 minute division fluency tests with 20 problems. Students can check their answers on the answer key when they finish.
    • Match the Time-Match analog clocks with the correct digital time. Solve to find elapsed time.
    • Money Word Problems-Use a menu to solve addition and subtraction word problems.
    • Design a Backyard/Backyard Area and Perimeter-Choose from the items to design a backyard. Then figure out the area and perimeter for each item used.
    • Parts of Speech Puzzle-Read the sentences and figure out the part of speech. Fill it in on the crossword puzzle.
    • Write a Story-Using the prompts fill out the graphic organizer for the beginning, middle, and end of a fictional story.
    • Write a Letter-Type a letter to send to someone special.
    • At-Home Stem Activities-A list of fun STEM activities to try out at home.
    • Follow the Directions-After labeling a compass, follow the directions given on the map grid to find the treasure.
    • Summer Reading Log-Track the amount of books read throughout the summer.
    • Book Review-After reading a book, write a short summary and give a rating.
    • Main Idea or Topic-Sort words into either the main idea or topic category.
    • Main Idea and Supporting Details-Match the supporting details with the correct main idea.
    • Nonfiction Article-Read an article and answer questions about cicadas.
    • Choose a Topic/Research a Topic/Present Your Topic-Students will brainstorm topics, choose one to research, and decide how to present their research.
    • States of Matter-Use a root beer float to review the states of matter.
