What educators are saying
Description
“I tried this with Google Classroom and my kids LOVED it! Not only is the story rich with imagery, but students learn how to annotate text! This is great for helping guide students through the story in digestible chunks. The well-crafted questions help students reflect upon what they read, infer about the characters/plot, and identify literary elements. What a hit!” - Jennifer Seward in Stillwater, OK
Wanting to ease your students into annotating text with a short story? Looking to help your students make inferences? Need some technology integration with Google Slides and perhaps Google Classroom? Check out my guided reading of Ray Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rains" through Google Slides! Students will highlight textual evidence, literary devices, and plot elements as they read one of Bradbury's most famous short stories. As they read, students will interact with the text by answering questions focused on higher-order thinking that help them infer about the characters (or lack thereof) in the story. Click on my preview to get a taste of what students will see as they navigate through the Google Slides!
When you purchase, you will be given a link to copy the Google Slides presentation. You must have a free Google Account in order to view what you purchase. In order to use this in the classroom, students must also have free Google Accounts as well. This works wonders with Google Classroom!
