What educators are saying

Great resource but I couldn't really adapt it to my group like I thought I would be able to. I will definitely consider the suggested grades from now on.a
My students loved this resource. We used it to review key components for state testing. They begged to do another one.

Description

This activity is designed to engage high school students in the process of gathering information from a story, identifying patterns within that information, and making an inference about how one character in the story met her untimely demise.

Students are given fourteen character parts to act out as other students in the class interview them to gather information to find who was responsible for the murder.

The activity includes:
* Instructions
* The Situation - describing who was murdered and when
* The Solution - describing who was responsible
* 14 Character Cards
* Detective Sheet - for students to gather their information
* You're Ready to Make an Inference! Sheet - for students to make their educated guess of the identity of the murderer

If you enjoy this product, you might also enjoy my other mystery activity about a roadside accident.
