Description

Have you struggled to make mythology meaningful and useful to your students, but find that it is still a part of the required curriculum? Look no further for the perfect unit to allay your students' boredom and help them learn real-world skills through old-school mythologies. Not only does this unit hit on The Odyssey*, it also incorporates the myth of Prometheus, Persephone*, and the CCSS required Icarus and Daedalus. In a mere four weeks, you will cover key standards from each of the strands while engaging students in individual, partner, and group work both on and off computers. Ultimately, students complete a presentation on another world mythology to apply their learning regarding Greek Mythology. You will not be disappointed in your students' ability to work together with the group work rubric provided as well as many other invaluable resources that can cross over to other lessons and units.

You can purchase the necessary videos through Amazon for $1.99 each by searching for Clash of the Gods History Channel (Odysseus Curse of the Sea and Hades). Please be aware of this additional cost--unfortunately, I cannot control YouTube's content.
