The Tiger Rising - 34 page Reading Response Packet

This packet can be used for an intermediate level classroom. I have used it for Guided Reading & adapted Lit. Circles. The students read about 5 chapters (they are short) a week & respond in the packet. They discuss/read together and then paraphrase their own answers separately in the packet. I meet with each group 1-3 times per week to check for comprehension using the packet. It allows for focused comprehension and is a great assessment tool! The kids also love taking it home, showing their parents, and sharing what they are reading in school!
