The Star Spangled Banner History Research Project

Are you looking to energize your band hall with some holiday celebration? Look no further! This download will bring some much needed festivity to the band room while covering musical fundamentals in the process.

• A simple one page research project on the National Anthem, including straight forward prompts and concluding with a think-pair-share activity

This is a great cross curricular project to tie into your students social studies classes, and a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with another teacher/department within your building. This project will sharpen your students research skills and allow for creative interpretation of their music given historical facts relevant to the composition.
