The Snowman Book Buddy (Raymond Briggs)

The activities in this pack are based on the book, The Snowman by Raymond Briggs and the short film adaptation.

The Snowman is a story about a little boy who makes a snowman that comes to life. Together, they go on a marvelous adventure. The film differs slightly from the book since in the book he doesn't go to the North Pole to meet Father Christmas. I like showing my students the film along with the book. It is nice to make a comparison and listen to their thoughts on it.

This is a lovely book to read in December and can be used to work on numerous literacy skills.

The activities have been designed for ELL. Many vocabulary resources have been made to help young language learners. However, it can be used in ELA for 1st-3rd grade students. 

This pack includes lots of vocabulary with pictures for language learners and many printables and worksheets to work on different literacy skills.
