Description
This lesson is an exploratory activity for creative movement with the piece The Snow is Dancing by Claude Debussy. It is geared towards K-2 but can easily be adapted for upper grades. It is designed for developing music listening skills along with increasing movement vocabulary.
The presentation guides students through a brief lesson on the history and composer of this piece. Then, students will be able to hear the snow twirling and dancing, and create movement to accompany their interpretation. I have included a reflection worksheet as well as two send home review worksheets for the end of the lesson.
