A fun book for the winter. I've added instruments, and thought I'd add a syncopated rhythm. The bottom line is bass xylophone, of course, then the next up is the alto xylophone. I'd add a finger cymbal on the second beat after the half note (on Snow Day!). You could add other instruments, like maracas, to imitate the crunching in the snow, and keep a steady beat. I usually teach the song first, then teach the instruments. Then when we read the book, we add the song and instruments after we read each page, and before we turn to the next page. You know what works best with your students.
