Oftentimes, students miss the big picture when it comes to cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This EDITABLE introduction to the topic explains how the two are related and their impact on the environment.

This assignment has students create a model of the connection between cell respiration and photosynthesis using information from the reading. It also asks students to predict the equation for photosynthesis based on the cellular respiration equation, examine how the seasonality of leaves affects the amount of carbon in the air, interpret different graphs and answer several analysis questions.
