What educators are saying

I used this resource to build some background knowledge before reading Persepolis and it was perfect! Great resource!
The Middle East is an area I am weak in, and this resource was great as a overview for my students in regards to America's involvement in Iran. I had students who really understood this and ran with it! Great Resource!

Description

A beautiful set of review or introductory activities with graphics and text that cover the Iran Revolution of 1979 as well as the Iranian Hostage Crisis and the Shah of Iran. This set also mentions the changes The Ayatollah made as well as Iranian and US relations afterward. The lesson has five higher-order questions for students to complete in class for discussion or can be done at home for homework.

UPDATED: Now includes an Answer Key, a student response sheet, a two-page version of the reading with larger text, and an extension activity that asks students to create a newspaper about what they learned.

Please view the preview file as it is the full document in pdf form. The purchased file will include two editable versions of the document (Word and Mac) as well as a PDF. If you leave feedback and then email me your request, I will give you another lesson from my store for free (your choice of over 175 lessons).

I respond to questions immediately. Thanks for looking!
