This packet is full of activities to engage students while also making them think! This unit includes hands-on activities, real-world connections, collaboration, presentation, project-based learning, chapter quizzes, a review game, final test, movie review instructions, discussion, and higher order thinking. Furthermore, it contains writing tasks for analytical, creative, and reflective purposes. All of the quizzes and the final test have more than one version along with answer keys. The reading guides and activities have answer keys as well. This unit covers so many Common Core objectives that there was no need to list them! It would be easier to just list the few not covered in this unit!

This unit has some very unique activities for 21st century learners!

The lesson plan unit is in pdf format, but I have also included an editable PowerPoint for the quizzes and tests. These are also included in a Word file if you prefer that format. The quizzes are mainly recall to reward students for reading, but there is plenty of higher level thinking involved in the activities included here. There is so much to choose from that you may not have time to do it all! Choose what fits your classroom best.
