Description

The Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment (4.1)

Thank you for considering this product. This awesome, editable 63 slide PowerPoint lesson (with student guided notes) is filled with many great pictures, explanations, and animations that are detailed and captivating. It will bring history alive for you and your students! This is far beyond the normal PowerPoints you're used to. I have also included some ‘check for understanding’ type questions and review. Please check out the preview and I'm sure you'll agree.

4.1 is part of an epic 7-part series (4.1 through 4.7) that covers an entire World History unit, the Age of Revolutions. 4.1 covers the development of the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment, development which truly changed the world. 4.1 explores the great scientific minds of Bacon, Descartes, Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Boyle, Pascal and Vesalius. Also, 4.1 explores the Enlightened minds of Locke, Montesquieu, Voltaire, Diderot and Rousseau. The developments and ideas of these men led to the American and French revolutions, and shook to the foundation every government on this earth.

This product would be awesome for any Jr. High or High School World History class. It can work perfectly for various age groups and ability levels.

Embedded in this PowerPoint are the editable notes for this lesson on Word and pdf. The notes have certain key words for the students to fill-in which allows students

to focus on the rich visuals and animations.

I have also created animated models of the geocentric theory and the heliocentric theory. Check out the preview!

Also, included for FREE are all the editable Word/pdf notes for this entire unit of World History, Unit 4 The Age of Revolutions (4.1 through 4.7).
