Description

It’s Almost Easter time!

What do you imagine when I say it’s almost Easter time? Do you think about bunnies, chicks, candy, baskets, and egg hunts?

All those things are fun, but they have absolutely nothing to do with Easter. In fact, one of the most important events in our Christian faith has become greatly secularized.

In This Unit Study

In this unit study, your students are going to learn about the real meaning of Easter, or what is known as “Resurrection Day.” The unit is rich in scripture to help students see the truth in the Bible, and older students are encouraged to read and explore more.

In Each Lesson

There is a “Read Aloud”: A portion of reading that the teacher or parent reads to the students. The unit is designed to be completed independently by older or more advanced students as well.

Terms To Know are listed so you can review the definitions of words within the unit that students might not understand.

If you have a PDF Viewer or editor, turn on “Read Mode,” and let the app read everything as you and your family follow along with the lesson!

The unit has Assignments: Assignments include coloring sheets, review pages, puzzles, games, and writing tasks, all designed to be completed in no more than 20 minutes for older students and to be enjoyable for younger ones. Each assignment introduces students to their focus verse of the day.

Parents and teachers have the option to select from two assignments, one tailored for lower levels and another for upper levels. Choose the assignment that best suits your child’s abilities and enjoy the learning experience!

Learn More: Some aspects might be too much for younger kids to handle, but older kids need the entire story! The “Learn More” section allows for a more in-depth study of the topic. You can encourage older students to read more or learn more on their own, or with you.

If you are doing this as a class in a school setting, you can administer the reading to the students as homework or take it on as a class. The more your students learn, the better they are at helping others understand the reason for their own faith!

“…And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.” 1 Peter 3:15 NLT

Grade and Level Recommendations

This unit is recommended for grades/levels K-2 (with guidance), 3-12, or the adult who wants to deep dive and learn everything about Holy Week and The Resurrection (Easter Sunday), using all our learn more prompts!

With Easter being one of the most important and significant events in Christian history, the unit is structured in a way that allows you to tell its story for the younger child, but detail it for the older teens, and bring all into SALVATION!

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 NKJV
