Description
Looking for ways to motivate young readers? Need something that will provide your students with opportunities rich in a variety of genres? The Reading Bucket List is exactly what you've been looking for to add to your classroom instruction.
As adults, we read what we enjoy. Why then are we forcing kids to all read the same text, at the same time, with the same assessments? That’s why Adam and I came up with the Reading Bucket List—an innovative approach to self-selected texts, engaging projects, and meaningful discussions.
Now, the Reading Bucket List is offered for grades K-3. This bucket list is designed to engage young readers in a variety of genres. It can be implemented into your classroom in two different ways: 1) You can use it as a classroom program to structure your read alouds, or 2) you can use it to motivate readers during reader's workshop as they self-select books of their choice.
Either way, this is a great motivational tool to really stretch our young readers and provide them with a well-rounded dose of reading materials and genres.
Included in this product are all of the tools you need to get the Reading Bucket List going:
· Letter to the Teacher
· The Reading Bucket List Implementation Guide
· The Reading Bucket List Check-off List
