Add rigor & depth to your movie-viewing experience with this The Princess Bride Movie Viewing Guide. This packet is an excellent way to practice literary & film analysis skills while keeping your students engaged as you watch.

Included:

  • Pre-Reading Activity
    • 2 images of different movie posters
    • Venn diagram asking to compare/contrast the posters' tone/mood, camera angles, & other observations

  • During Reading Activity
    • 18 questions for students to answer as they watch (in chronological order). Some multiple choice & some fill in the blank over figurative language, comprehension, diction, tone, camera angles, etc. Answer key provided

  • Post-Reading Activity
    • Students choose from 3 short response prompt questions over analytical ideas in the movie asa whole. 1 lined page provided for them to respond
