The Polar Express SMART Notebook

UPDATED 12-7-13: I attached the pdf file for you to make printing easier. I also updated some fonts and borders. Finally, I added a vocabulary graphic organizer (The Frayer Model) to make the vocabulary more rigorous.

This product is a SMART Notebook file that includes my Polar Express Common Core Unit. THE FILE IS ATTACHED SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE THE PDF FILE SEPARATELY.

The unit contains five days of activities to accompany the book "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg. The week long unit is linked to common core standards for 3rd grade and contains essential questions as well. Graphic organizers are included for story map, character traits, cause/effect, and compare/contrast. Day five includes a Reader's Theater copy of the book for five readers, story sequence and comprehension questions.

The notebook file also contains two flash games. The first game is a vocabulary image select and the second game is a sentence sort.
