Description

This activity is aligned towards the Common Core Standard L.5b: Idioms. It is designed with the grade band 3-5 in mind.

A young boy named Zea gets his first Valentine in the mail, but he can't make a lot of sense of it. He thinks the girl who wrote it is crazy until he meets a friend to teach him all about idioms. The QR codes embedded in the book allow students to watch a rap video on idioms, tour the definition, and see examples. The story ends with Zea's crush showing up to give him a message.... that he might have already understood! Go through the QR book quest to see what happens and what the message is!
