The Nativity & The First Easter Reader's Theater & Puppets Bundle

Children will love performing The Christmas Story (based on Luke 2:1 - 20) and The First Easter (based on New Testament gospels accounts) with the multi-part reader's theater scripts and super cute performance puppets (oversized stick puppets) included in this bundle! At the same time, they'll build reading fluency, and listening and speaking skills. Maximum fun and engagement for your students, easy prep for you! Perfect for Christian school, Sunday School, home school, or a Christmas or Easter program!

Each story is scripted for story characters (who read the speaking parts for the characters) and readers (who read the narrative parts of the story). In some places ALL readers and characters read together as a chorus; these parts use repetition and are meant to be chanted in unison for dramatic effect. This also give everyone more opportunities to read!

The Christmas Story (scripted for 8 readers) includes:

• A 3-page script, scripted for 4 characters (Mary, Joseph, Angel, and Shepherd) and four narrative readers

• A complete set of 8 scripts (with each reader's part already marked in blue)

• A master copy of the script (which can be copied and the parts marked by hand, if color printing is not an option)

• Performance Puppets (oversized stick puppets for Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, Shepherd, and Angel) to print on cardstock or tag; after students color them, mount them on flat sticks or rulers for use during the Reader's Theater performance)

• Reader Headbands (Tags for Mary, Joseph, Shepherd, Angel, and for each of the four readers. Color and mount on sentence strips to form headbands to wear during the performance.)

• Complete directions for practicing and staging your performance.

The First Easter (scripted for 10 readers) includes:

• A 6-page script, scripted for 5 characters (Jesus, Disciple, Woman, Soldier, and Angel) and five narrative readers

• A complete set of 10 scripts (with the parts for each reader already marked in blue)

• A master copy of the script (which can be copied and the parts marked by hand, if color printing is not an option)
