What is The Mystery of the Lost Scarab?

The Mystery of the Lost Scarab is a 2-part podcast story that immerses students in the world of Ancient Egypt- their Gods and Goddesses, the pyramids and the Egyptian bazaars. Each part is 7 minutes or less, so you can split the learning across multiple lessons to maximise your class attainment.

In this story, a boy named Rabin meets a mysterious merchant at the local bazaar. Armed with a map and promises of immortality, he embarks on a quest for the legend-borne scarab amulet, hidden deep in the annals of the Pyramids of Giza.

What is The Lost Stories podcast?

The Lost Stories podcast is a historical adventure anthology series hosted by Lauren Austin, the author and creator behind the Bean the Bear book series and Lost in Learning teaching resources. Don't worry; they aren't overly creepy and won't give your kids nightmares. Each story is in two parts, and you don't need to listen to each tale to follow along, so you can plug an episode into your planner anywhere you need it!
