This was a great extension activity with my reading class as a way to end the year on Sleepy Hollow. I got a great class photo of all my students who had worked on the project and read with me all year in front of the completed project. Wish I had more of these thanks so much!!
Description
This Legend of Sleepy Hollow collaborative poster is triple the fun with the combination of coloring, creativity, and group work! All inspired by promoting Halloween, scary short stories, author, Washing Irving, American literature, fall months, suspense, legends, and folktales in your classroom.
The collaborative poster features a writing prompt and brain friendly fun. Students will collaborate to assemble the headless horseman poster for your classroom wall, bulletin board, classroom door, hallway, lobby, or library. Great for the fall months, literature unit, American literature study, or studying a spooky, suspense, scary, or horror lit unit. This fall, get your students enthusiastic about reading! Watch students and staff stop and look at your Legend of Sleepy Hollow poster...it is eye catching and Halloween fun!
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow poster includes assembly instructions and helpful tips to make it even better! You will only need to print this one time per class! That's it.The collaboration poster project is a perfect size to laminate.
You'll love watching your students collaborate. The activity is designed for students to communicate and work together. Encourage your students to find class members with poster pieces near their own to create their masterpiece. The writing activity is truly insightful and reflective of superstitions, legends, and folktales literature genre.
