The Jesse Tree Christmas Advent Project

The Jesse Tree is a chronological Bible story Christmas advent of the scriptural events that occurred before Jesus's birth. There are many ways to participate in this countdown, and I've taken some creative liberty to design a simple version for younger kids.

Traditionally this project is done as a Christmas advent, starting on December 1st--but these printable felties are versatile enough to use as a colorful addition to a history timeline, as a family night game of Bible-themed memory or go fish, or as a sequencing activity to test your kids' (or your own!) comprehension.

If you do choose to use the set as a Christmas countdown, tell a part of the Biblical story each day, beginning with the creation of the world. Each day as you retell history, place a countdown ornament--pictorially representing each account until you narrate the Savior's birth on Christmas day.

There are three versions of each page of PDF printables:

1. Square cutting guidelines around the images--easily cut off with a paper cutter or scissors to create 3x3 square cards.

2. Images with no cutting lines so you can use a punch, Silhouette, etc. to cut around the images.

3. Black and white outline images for kids to color, if desired.

If you would like to create different size Jesse Tree ornaments or other Biblical projects, consider the individual file PNG version of these images.
