Description
This 2-week unit includes:
- a 53-slide PowerPoint with 3 activities and/or discussions
- a 3-page list of activities with links to short horror stories and activities, and TED talk links about Fear.
Perfect for 11th and 12th graders.
I switch back and forth from the TED talks to the PowerPoint to keep them engaged. One TED talk one day, followed by the PPT lecture. Then I finish with the 2 short story activities.
The final activity (not mentioned in the unit plan) is showing a sort of, kind of scary movie. The movie Signs is suspenseful and has not yet gotten a parent phone call like a true horror movie would. This is truly a fun unit because it gets students engaged and talking.
