Description
Are you looking for a fun and engaging independent research project for your second- to fifth-graders for the month of October?
The History of Yum Candy Research Project allows students to put their research, note-taking, writing, and public speaking skills to the test! (All the while, learning about their favorite candy of course!).
This project allows students to choose a candy to research, take notes on, and transform their notes into complete sentences on a visual poster. Students will also be asked to share the information they learned with their classmates in an oral presentation.
This resource includes:
* Project directions sheet with a full list of candy to choose from.
* Graphic organizer for note-taking during the research stage.
* Poster organizer sheet (I like to print the poster organizer on white card stock).
* Grading rubric
* Quick info cards for history of yum timeline
