What educators are saying

This was very helpful in helping me write my AAC goals. The goals are broken down into levels of communication.
I like the variety of goals included for the functional and generative level students. The resource pairs well with the communicator profile.

Description

The Guide to AAC Communicator Goals is a resource which provides a continuum of goals specific to each AAC Communicator Category (i.e, Emerging, Functional, Generative). Goals are provided across the 4 competency areas of operational, linguistic, social, and strategic in a continuum for to promote ultimate communicative success for Emerging, Functional and Generative Communicators. Considering goals across competency areas will also promote a well-rounded communicator who can not only communicate wants and needs, but can also use AAC for social interactions and to participate in educational and social environments. This can serve as a guideline for developing goals for individuals who are just starting to use AAC or individuals who have been using AAC for a long time.

To determine the AAC Communicator Category use descriptions provided in The Guide to AAC Communicator Goals or complete a comprehensive and more accurate assessment to determine an individual client's profile using the AAC Communicator Profile by B&B SLP.
