WRITING, RESEARCH & ANALYSIS: This flip book was created to fill a need in my classroom—actually it was my need. I was tired of answering questions over and over about information that students already had in their binders. When I teach these concepts I use lots of handouts, but the students will often take the easy way out and ask me for the answer, rather than take the time to go through their notes. This easy-to-use reference allows them to find answers quickly for how to do a close read, how to write a paragraph, how to use quotations and so much more.
NOTE: It is not meant to give comprehensive instruction, but rather quick how-to’s. Students may need to look further, but this will give them a quick reminder or a starting point.
*The information on citations refers to MLA format.
