What educators are saying

Its very well organized and easy to follow. The notes and games were easy for my students to complete. I thought that this resource was hard to use online especially the notes, but other than that it was good.

Description

I'm Mrs. P and I'm all about student engagement. So when the team leader of each competing group of Econ students runs (okay, speed walks) up to me excitedly whispering the factor shifting the demand curve, it brings a smile to my face. Bringing interactive games, activities, and lectures to my Economics classroom renews my passion for teaching every day. I can't wait for you to see your students come alive as they learn about the demand curve.

These 3 lessons will teach students all about the demand curve. I usually teach these lessons in the beginning of my Supply and Demand Unit. Along with lecture notes, I've included engaging activities and critical thinking opportunities throughout the lessons as well as plenty of practice for students as they familiarize themselves with these fundamental Economic concepts.

The best part is that you can use this entire lesson for distance or digital learning! All student resources come in a printable PDF version AND a Google Slides/Docs/Forms version. Students just make a copy and they can use all the included resources!

What to Expect:

  • Detailed Suggested Lesson Plans (PDF)
  • Daily Written Warm Ups & Opening Activities (PDF, Google Slides)
  • Daily Essential Questions
  • Engaging Lectures with Thinking Activities & Think-Pair-Shares throughout (PPT, Google Slides)

To reduce tech issues, please be sure to have the most recent free version of Adobe Reader downloaded. More help linked here.

I usually teach these lessons in three 50 minute periods, but they can be combined for a block period schedule as well.

Note: all Google Drive versions appear in the lesson plans of each individual lesson. As of right now, there is no way to copy a folder in Google so for right now you will need to open the lesson plan and make a copy of each digital resource using the provided links and instructions.

This resource is also a part of this discounted bundle: Supply and Demand Unit Bundle including Entrepreneur Tank Project
