This was such a fun way to start my students out with organelles! This got them on their feet and had them thinking.

Description

Teaching Cells? Introduce your unit with this cell analogy activity!

In this activity students will be presented with the challenge of finding organelles of a cell. These organelles will be found associated with their analogies (whether that is the physical location, the images provided, or both). Upon finding the organelle, students will observe the analogies and make inferences about the organelles function. Following the hunt, the classroom will participate in a whole group discussion (with the google slides presentation) where they will share their predictions and learn the actual function of organelles!
