Description

This easy to read, one page passage about the circulatory or cardiovascular system explains:

  • the parts of the human circulatory system including: red and white blood cells, platelets, plasma, heart, veins, arteries, aorta, and valves
  • how they are used to pump blood carrying nutrients and oxygen around the body

The passage includes 10 multiple choice reading comprehension questions, an answer key, and 2 self-scoring digital versions - EASEL and Google Forms. Color and black line illustrations are included to accommodate black and white printing.

The passage also has a companion YouTube video. Show the video before or after reading the passage to increase student comprehension. It provides a great modification for students who need a read aloud option.
