The Case of the Missing Pumpkin - Positional Words on the Activboard

This is a great intro/mini lesson for positional words. It's engaging and the kids love it. There are 9 different clues where the kids highlight the positional word and then move the magnifying glass (with magic reveal) to see if they can find where the pumpkin is hiding.

The positional clues are:
-under
-next to
-above
-near
-beneath
-in between
-inside
-to the left of
-to the right of

We follow this up with a class book. Each child makes a page with a die cut pumpkin. They draw a picture of whatever object they like, glue on the pumpkin, and then write a sentence about the position of the pumpkin.
