Description

This is EVERYTHING you need to teach the memoir The Boy on the Wooden Box, by Leon Leyson.

This includes both a digital and a PDF version of the following:

PRE TEACHING

  • book walk / prediction activity
  • awards won / prediction activity
  • a lesson on "notable Polish people in history" for context on where the memoir takes place

WHILE READING - for each chapter

  • comprehension questions (4-6 each chapter)
  • 2 questions asking students to analyze, reflect and predict

ASSESSMENT

  • 5 total quizzes (covering 2 chapters each), with rubric for grading
