Do you need melody activities for teaching solfege to kids? The Birch Tree is a beautiful folk song for teaching melody (low ti). Prepare low ti by tapping the melodic contour. Present the new pitch on the tone ladder. Read the solfege with rhythmic notation and on the music staff.
