GREAT FOR CLASSIFICATION IN LIFE SCIENCE!
This is a great hands-on activity where students have the opportunity to classify images in the Kingdoms Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, and Monera. There are 40 different beautifully crafted images included.
This activity is versatile, as it can be used as an independent activity, in a pair/share format, a collaborative groups sorting activity, for stations, and as a follow-up activity to instruction. It is great for an inclusion class since it is highly visual and tactile, allowing for a more multi-sensory approach to learning the subject matter.
I have also used the images in a 5 flap hotdog style foldable after the students sort and classified them on their desks. They then glued them in their foldable under the correct kingdom giving them visuals with which to study and refer to.
