Description

Have some fun this holiday season with “The 12 Days of Debate!” Your students will love the variety of winter and general holiday topics! Created for 3rd-6th grade students, they will look at both sides of an issue, brainstorm both the affirmative and negative sides, and write a final position statement. This activity can be used in a variety of ways: warm-ups, quick-writes, partner/group discussions, whole-class discussions, persuasive writing, etc.! You can even extend the activity and require students to cite online sources that support their position.

A PDF document is provided with an activity suggestion and links to the following:

-Google Slides daily topics (12 days/slides)

-Google Slides click-and-type response pages for students (12 response pages/slides)

*Be sure to click the option, “Make a copy for each student,” when assigning the response pages for students on Google Classroom.

Feel free to ask questions before purchasing! And, as always, your feedback is greatly appreciated!
