Thanksgiving on Thursday Unit: Comprehension, Vocabulary, Sequencing, and more!

This is a novel study I created to accompany book #27 in the Magic Tree House series: "Thanksgiving on Thursday." The unit addresses several common core standards which are listed on the second page in the preview. Each page (one chapter per page- chapters 9 and 10 are combined) has 4-5 vocabulary words that the students must define using context clues. It also has 4-5 questions for each chapter, many of which encourage higher order thinking. At the end of the study, I have created and included a Venn diagram to compare Jack and Annie. Students then tell which character they think they are most like. There is also a cut-and-paste sequencing activity where students sequence eight important events from the book. This is a great book for Thanksgiving.
