What educators are saying

This was a great low-prep way for my students to practice punctuation, and being able to distinguish whether a sentence is asking or telling. I loved the google slides as a whole group extension activity.
My students had a lot of fun with this resource. It was engaging and cute. We used it last year and will definitely use it again soon.

These Thanksgiving activities are a fun, engaging way to practice punctuation with your students in November. Get the wiggles out before Thanksgiving break with these punctuation activities. This turkey resource is great for write the room, centers, or even independent work! This resource is now digital!

What the activities include:

  • Turkey Gobbler (Punctuation Write the Room): Turkey Gobbler is here to help all your punctuation needs! He is so sneaky and has gobbled up all the punctuation! It's your students' jobs to figure out what punctuation he has gobbled up!

  • Punctuation Parade (Unscramble The Sentences): Turkey Gobbler is at it again! This time, he was in charge of the balloon at the Thanksgiving Day parade. He let go of them and now they're all jumbled up! Students need to rearrange the balloons (the words) so they are in the correct order to make a sentence.

  • Set The Table (A Cut/Glue Activity): Students read the sentence on the card. Then, they write the punctuation on the matching Thanksgiving food and glue them to the table to "set" the table!
