“Thanksgiving Dinner Table Bee Bot Mat and Flash Cards” consists of 80 printed 15cm x 15 cm squares that are to be cut out and assembled any way you want into a bee bot mat.
These 80 squares feature:
16 images of traditional favorites for a Thanksgiving dinner, their 16 corresponding word description squares,
16 squares that are the combination of picture/word and 32 black and white images of everything for an ink saving solution.
A colored and a b/w page of the Thanksgiving Dinner served at the table is also provided.
This page can be used as a checklist in preparing the dinner! You can laminate them so they can be used with whiteboard markers.
The mat once assembled can be used as a Bee Bot mat where it will be used with the programmable Bee Bot robot for robotic lessons. The mat can be assembled and used in different ways and combinations, like pictures only, words only or a combination of pictures/words. You may include whatever and how many you want according to your needs and what you want to give emphasis on in your lessons.
The 80 15cmx15cm square pictures are also provided in the form of instructional cards of 6cm x 6cm that you may use to prepare your stack/deck of cards. The cards are to be cut out and may be laminated for durability. Further 6 “Not Ready Yet” instructional cards are added. In total, each picture is represented in 10 ways, 5 squares of15x15cm and 5 squares of 6x6cm.
Directions:
Prepare the stack of cards, include the “Not Ready Yet” ones, shuffle them and turn them upside down. Each child then, picks up one card and follows instructions where to program the Bee Bot to go to. When the Bee bot reaches its destination the child ticks off the item of the checklist on the table. If he/she picks a “Not Ready Yet” card, he/she looses a turn.

The 15cmx15cm number squares are a perfect size for Thanksgiving flash cards that you can use in any way you want. You can laminate them and use them in your literacy center, you can decorate your Thanksgiving bulletin board, you can use them for memory games, matching exercises like
picture – word, sorting exercise like Big – Small and anything else you can think of!
