The Thankful for YOU! Build-a-Turkey is designed to be assembled as a work in progress, collaborative effort bulletin board in the hallway, office, staff lounge, or any classroom! Once you decide how and where you want to start this Build-a-Turkey, the process is simple.

1. Select a feather.

2. Write a name at the top.

3. Finish the prompt by giving specific reasons why you are thankful for this person.

4. Add the finished feather to the turkey.

Other ideas:

A turkey feather could be filled out by the parent or guardian during Fall conferences, a family night, or sent home with the request to fill it out and send it back to school. The feathers could then be added to the classroom turkey or in a much larger schoolwide display with one giant turkey or a flock of turkeys.
